Gertrud Haidvogl studies and teaches as an environmental historian at the Institute of Hydrobiology & Aquatic Ecosystem Management, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna. Her research deals with the socio-ecological development of riverine landscapes, their biodiversity and ecological long-term changes due to historical river uses.
