Dr. Stephan Lutter holds master’s degrees in environmental engineering and natural resource management and a PhD in Ecological Engineering. He is deputy head of the research group “Global Resource Use” at the Institute for Ecological Economics at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and works and publishes in the thematic area of the quantification of societal natural resource use with focus on raw materials and water. Further, he is very active in the area of science communication for public discourses and policy application.

Dr. Stephan Lutter studierte Umwelttechnik an der BOKU Wien sowie Naturressourcen-Management an der BOKU und der Lincoln University in Neuseeland. Er promovierte im Themenfeld der Ökologischen Ökonomie an der BOKU Wien. Stephan Lutter ist stellvertretender Leiter der Forschungsgruppe „Global Resource Use“ am Institute for Ecological Economics an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU) und arbeitet im Themenfeld der Quantifizierung der Nutzung natürlicher Ressourcen durch den Menschen mit Fokus auf Rohstoffe und Wasser. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit liegt auf der Wissenschaftskommunikation.
