Günter Getzinger

Günter Getzinger is trained in chemical engineering, and philosophy and social sciences at Graz University of Technology, University of Graz, and University of Klagenfurt. After research stays at Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research in Karlsruhe, TH Darmstadt and University of Frankfurt he co-founded and headed the Inter-University Reserch centre for technology Work and Curlture (IFZ) in Graz; her was head of the Department of Science and Technology Studies at University of Klagenfurt and, since 2018 he heads the Science, Technology and Society Unit at TU Graz. In his research he focuses on participatory technology assessment, on sustainable shaping of technologies, and on technology policy. He lectures on ethical, legal and social aspects of technologies and on sustainable innovation.
