Julian is a designer, engineer and entrepreneur whose work focuses on finding solutions to environmental and social issues through innovative use of biotechnology, soft-robotics and bionic technologies. He is the original inventor of Arborea’s technologies and he founded the company back in 2015. He has been acclaimed by Forbes as under-30 top entrepreneurs influencing the EU positively. He has received several personal awards (London Design Medal, Material innovation Fellowship, V&A Engineer in residence, Best Innovation Award from Innovation RCA) and public engagement through talks, interviews and exhibitions (TED Talk, World Economic Forum, UK House of Commons, London City Council, UK embassy in Italy, Wired, The Times, Sunday Times, Financial Times, V&A Museum, Venice Biennale). Julian graduated with MA+MSc called “Innovation Design Engineering” from RCA and Imperial College London.
